When I'm with my band, in the middle of the show I play this song: only me playing the accordion and vocalist singing, then when it gets to the end everybody starts playing The Weight. It's just marvelous! We end it playing Acadian Driftwood only in French.

this video is gold (Richard - what a voice!) every time I watch this I feel I have to play this continuously on repeat. it's possibly my fave song by them...so addictive.

levon and the hawk came to toronto and the band was formed here.the other guys were born and raised in canada.songs written about america mostly by robbie,come on both countries should just share the credit for this great music.
