@dekippiesip yes, thats true, the danish have driven the germans out by themself, through sabotage and resistance. I don't know anything of the greece people in ww2 but dutch tanks are useless in these times, where the hack do we need them for at these days, they can delete the entire army if they want, because where is it usefull for? when it is so far, germany, france etc. will clean the shit out. let us train special forces etc.

@tomtiedom121 However, the Danish deserve credit for saving many jews in their country. I think Greece was the bravest and best country relative to it's size in terms of resistance. Even today we are cutting the defense budget, now there will be no tanks in Holland. It was a time of crisis and cutting the defense budget is popular in such times but not wise...

The Dutch soldier was pretty competent, but the government & generals fucked up. They didnt take the threat seriously by ignoring documents that actually contained the full invasion plans, they refused the British and French access until after Germany declared war, they had a good airforce but fucked up and most of the planes got destroyed while still on the ground, etc.. Had the Dutch people been more actively preparing for war they could have made it, but alas

@Kurt2010ful Well, The amy was strong they held out 5 days without any tanks much lesser soldiers and older weapons against the strongest army in the world at that time. I say that the Dutch where able but did not have the recorces.

The reason the Dutch gave in was that the allies (France and England) refused any help, which would mean that the waterlinie could not be held and numerous lives would be lost for nothing (no one could foresee the concentration camps).
To say cowards certainly not, Germany was just a lot larger and The Netherlands had a policy of being neutral like Switzerland.
