Ever wonder why quarters and dimes have ridges while pennies and nickels don't. Well it's not for the benefit of the blind to distinguish between coins but rather to prevent coin clipping back in the day when quarters and dimes were made of silver. Unfortunately quarters and dimes are no longer made with silver but a much cheeper copper/nickel clad product. So the coins are no longer receive their value based upon the precious metals they once contain but as a fiat money, which the United States government simply declares to be of worth.

Ron Paul has been declaring since 1971 that using gold and silver (as the U.S. Constitution states in Article I, Section 10) is the only sound currency. We are now seeing this more than ever as our Federal Reserve System currency continues to lose its value compared to the gold and silver it once contained. Currently it has lost 95% of its value.

Ron Paul is the best man for the Presidency of the United States and the one who can lead us back to financial stability. So I encourage you to vote Ron Paul 2012. To learn more about him, go to http://www.ronpaul2012.com/.

  • I was alway a bit leary of the weight comparason so as i bought over 4000 mercs this summer and hundreds of qtr, and some halves and a few 100 morgans, so i weighed many and i always thought from looking that no way 5 dimes weighed the same as a half so we weighed many and found that in fact when they werren,t the same five dimes came out a fraction heavier then the half.

  • Thank you for great video. RON PAUL 2012!!!

  • @BereanStudent It's not fair to blame the United States for the disappearance of precious metals in coins. International banking gave all governments no choice. A fiat paper world system can't exist with even one country distributing Money-in-itself as the method of paying debts. Who would buy imports with gold & silver and accept paper & base-metal slugs for exports? The real wonder was that silver coins didn't disappear overnight when people knew that silver coinage was over.

  • Nice video. #auditthefed
