MMA Filipino style: Host, Antonio Graceffo, takes us to Manila, Philippines, to learn Yaw Yan Hybrid, a deadly martial art, which is winning MMA competitions in Asia, Yaw Yan. Traditional Yaw Yan was a Filipino kick boxing art, similar to Muay Thai, founded by Napoleon A. Fernandez in the 1970s. The founder of Yaw-Yan Hybrid is Sir Henry Kobayashi, who added ground fighting to the Filipino kickboxing and built one of the most powerful MMA teams in the Republic. Meet Sir Henry and his assistant, Sir Jerry, who beat up the Brooklyn Monk and demonstrate the power of this composite combat art.

Great to see those leg locks.
Especally the one on side control 7:05 first time I've seen the move, but it seems so basic.

I wonder if he has studied Catch wrestling or 10th planet JJ. I has some similar movements.
Where does he gather his grappling base?

antonio g. can you please rephrase or change, the title. Instead of Martial Arts Odyssey or so on, can you change to BJJ vs Yawyan or Wrestling vs Yawyan by Brooklynmonk1, or anything that can align with other grappling . I think this is the best way to catch more viewers since yawyan is not that popular among westerner or even mma fan like me. Just a suggestion. or Yawyan vs Eddie Bravo

He should've showed the choke from the guard positon with the shin on the throat and the hands pulling from the back of the neck. this is an original yaw-yan technique. but still love the chokes and holds
