The Wounded Heroes Baseball Classic is game with MLB legends playing military veterans in an exhibition style game. The purpose of the game is to raise awareness and funds for military veterans. Hope4Heroes, a non-profit organization that supports military veterans and their families as they transition back to civilian life, organized the first game in San Antonio, Texas. The game was such a success it has spawned the Heroes and Legends Baseball Tour. The Tour will visit cities across America in 2011 to help bring awareness for our veterans. The game in partnership with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) showcases former MLB greats including Jimmy Wynn, Danny Graves, Jeff Kent, Sherman Corbit, Jay Johnstone, John Warden, Hall of Famers Gaylord Perry and Rollie Finger, and more. Be sure to look out for the game coming to a city near you! For more information visit www.woundedheroesbaseball.com.
