  • what's an NPR?

  • National Public Radio

  • NO fucking talent! My son has more talent in his little toe than the whole music industry put together.

He is currently wirting a song, that si kinda creepy. But at least it is not the same shit everybody else is doing.

  • Only in regards to pop music, my dear Vogon poet. Pop music, by it's very design, is not geared towards talent.

  • Of course, I also agree with you, Seek. There is no talent left, or at least not much real talent. Someone comes up with a new concept and everyone jumps on it, because they can't stand on their own.

And OMG, American Idol gets worse and worse and worse... it's like, uh.. you've found any of us that actually had potential in your first couple seasons, give it a break.

  • I like the PennSays channel too. He covers all sorts of topics and says what's on his mind. I usually find myself agreeing with him, lmao.

  • I listen to stations that play 80's music and earlier :)

  • College and community radio stations haven't failed me yet.

  • Ah, thx.

  • I gave up on pop music more than a decade ago. Hip Hop never spoke to me and even contemporary rock rarely does it for me either.

I would have to concur and say that classic rock is the monolith in whose shadow everything else lies.

  • radio music, like cataclysmic said.

  • Maybe not Fergie, but what about Alanis? I think there are a few that have created some timeless shit. Alot of "classic rock" is severely overrated in my opinion. Although, today's music has driven me to talk radio.

  • There is plenty of talent in the music industry, you just can't go to the radio to find it. I feel kind of bad for you if all you know of music is what's on the radio...there is so much amazing music out there.
