For such an inexpensive knife this Buck Vantage pulls its weight and then some. I have been very impressed with what I can do with this seemingly little knife. I used it as an EDC, for camping, snowboarding, and some hard use utility. Everything I threw at the Vantage it took and preformed like a champion. I did have to resharpen it twice but that is to be expected with the type of blade steel used in the Vantage. I would highly recommend this knife if you are in the market for a high quality and cheap utility blade. Thanks for watching.

  • Those are major problems you have and you should send your knife back to Buck and ask for a new one. Their problem you are having to suffer through. Something like that would really bother me especially that it effects the blade. I looked at one after seeing Nutnfancy's video and the one I saw at Bass Pro was not centered either. I would suggest the Tenacious for about 30$ on Amazon w/ free shipping!!! I cut leather all day and this knife was just about as good as a razor! Great deal!

  • @MrHardPressed I have a tenacious and persistence already.

  • hey one more thing, since I am recently buying this knife from an army surplus store does the dent in the blade from the spacer effect the blade majorly?

  • @GT6213 No it does not effect it that much. It is a great feature that helps keep the blade in the closed position but it does not hinder the knife when opening.

  • If I got sap on my knife helpin my mom I'd be like "Bitch you better get my a new knife" shit.

  • love this one, getting this made me want to get the vantage force pro

  • Awsome review!!! thanks to you I got the knife..and I love it!!! thank you!!

  • mine wasn't centered either, so i took it all the way apart... then put it back together with locktite - then centered it and opened and closed it for a while and it soon became smooth and loose without affecting the pivot strength and the centering is perfect. ive noticed this with my other knives as well

  • @bobrhode2 Thanks for the update.

  • @edgedweapon88 Just an update on the liner spacing issue. I got a Select today with the blue handle . I thought I'd be safe ordering it through Amazon due to their high turnover. It came with the box dated 8/23/10. Fit on the blade is terrible with it wedged against the side when closed and lots of side to side play when open. The liner lock barely contacts well enough to work. Looks like Kershaw has nothing to worry about here.

  • I just bought the 345 Vantage Select with wood grip and the blade is at least 1/4" from hitting -- they must have fixed that problem. The offset on the blade is due to the lock pushing the blade off-center and it's okay. This is a WAY underpriced USA-made knife by BUCK.
