I'm a black woman who has lived abroad in Turkey, Mexico and Europe. I date whoever I want to date and race and color isn't my main issue my main issue is if they are a good person and have a good heart. I do agree in the US it is mainly black and white like you said but there are so many other races in the US too but that is usually what people think when you say interracial. I say date who you want to as long as it for the right reasons and most importantly that they will treat you right

I understand what you mean. I am dating a Japanese guy and sometimes i get stupid comments from other women who say that all my babies will be "pretty and have good hair" They have no idea how much that upsets me ...especially when I hear that from other black women. It makes me want to go out and find the opposite of what they think is appropriate and have children as dark as night. I hate how people are so brainwashed to think that white or light is better. It bothers me so much.

I get what you're saying about light girls in vdos but I also get a bit defensive, bcuz that's where light skinned girls r seen as beautiful (even tho objectified sometimes), bcuz it's been my experience that in real life both white & black men prefer som1 that is not 'ambiguously raced' and go for either really light or really dark skinned women and not yellow like me.
