speed drawing bumblebee using photoshop pen tool

yes, pen tool! 1st of all i made a layer... just simply sketch the figure and change the opacity to bout 20%~ so its easier to see. then a layer above the sketch... and pen tool start drawing out lines. Alt and SHift keys is important when using pen tool like when changing the postition of the lines and so on. it took about 2 hours plus to draw this out. all this is done by me.

I understand how to make cutouts with the pen tool but how do I draw an outline and then make it dark into a drawing. This was great by the way
