I have NEVER filmed this one before and it is yet another Rapid Rail they've managed to speed up without requiring insane amounts of revving. It's not the fastest ASL out there, but this is how fast all ASLs should be in order to make automation worth it. Sadly, you don't find too many of em like this.

You'll see a bit of this footage again in a complete video of alleyway footage I will be uploading, but I never filmed more because the driver eventually asked me to stop...and to top that off I was beginning to have some problems with my spare camcorder battery. But enjoy what I got, I definitely think it turned out good.

  • nice vid! its always cool to watch the body rock when dumping a cart! now is this complete video with this truck? wonder how worn out those carts look at the bottom after being dragged back to their original position... i really like that driving away shot at 2:50-3:00 haha nice post....

  • @garbagekid1 Yep this is everything I've filmed of 207 :/ Yeah I noticed on one of mine that the plastic is thinner on the front two corners light goes through there a bit easier but they're still holding up great. Rotos truly are the best, idk about all the newer models but these will make it 20 yrs...

Yes going from one portion of the alley to another. Kinda cool. Thanks for the comment, like one of the two meaningful ones lol...

  • That is very fast, I enjoyed this video - definitely looked like a different part of escondido. Who did greens? Did the driver just not want to be filmed?

  • @r6man2 Greens was done by 63 here, another typical CWS :) I got plenty of footage of him, he's a very nice guy..

No, 207's driver asked me not to film him

  • @Trashman242 damn

  • @CurottoCanMaster82 Good luck finding one LOL everything's painted like this now.

  • @Trashman242 yes, trash. Dang. I want to see a current one that isn't painted.

  • @youthguy24 Thanks! haha I've had drivers tell me to stop before so this isn't a first. And there's one or two others that are this fast, but otherwise all the others don't compare, which is why I was disappointed not to be able to get more of this truck.

  • @CurottoCanMaster82 Exactly haha how ALL Rapid Rails should behave lol..the unpainted one I believe you saw (doing trash, right?) would've been 208, this is 207 though. And 208 has been repainted too, that footage was just old though.

  • @reyflow8 Thank you! Dang, I still have to get to your videos!! I think I'll try to hit yours next when I get the chance. Yep, and a true lid flip not just the lid hitting the edge of the hopper and swinging open, flipped before he even started lowering it :D I was happy to catch that on film. Thanks for the comment!

  • @JaccobDalton 11 actually :D All EDI's Rapid Rails are 2000 models. Yeah idk how I feel about that, it goes kinda well with the new paint but at least it isn't truly a newer Autocar and doesn't sound like one haha

Yeah...some I guess just get uncomfortable with a camera out. Especially if they don't ask why you're doing it, they assume the worst. This guy literally just said "go take pictures of a different truck" and drove away before I had time to even understand what he said lol

  • @Young4Family Yep, definitely is :)
