Just decided to play for you folks and let you hear the great sound that these ceramic mouthpieces get. Of course everyone will get their own sound on it but I wish I could explain this mouthpiece to you. It's just so even and easy to play and doesn't die on you once you get past the "g"s above the staff.
Anymore questions please feel free to contact me or Aaron.

  • New Video posted with me playing Aaron Drake's New Hybrid Vintage Resin Alto Sax mouthpiece.

    HOpe you like!!

    Just look up-

"Mike Mullan playing Aaron Drake's New Hybrid Vintage Resin Mouthpiece for alto sax"

  • The sound is stunning! But aside from the mouthpiece, how long have you been playing and what brand sax are you playing on?

  • Thank you very much! I am 28yrs old and have been playing since about the 5th grade. I'm playing on a Mark VI serial number 116,944.

Aaron Drake also has a new type of mouthpiece that he's designing that I have played that no one else besides himself has. I will be posting a video about that real soon.

  • hey man, i love he sound your blowing out. which model mouthpiece is that one your playing on?

  • Thanks man! I"m playing on just one of the regular stock mouthpieces that Aaron makes, it's notthe custom. Also it was one of the earlier models he had. There is brass ring around the outside or inside of the shank which I'm pretty sure the "newer" models have the brass ring around the shank on the outside or inside. I tell you man the mouthpiece is just so easy playing. If you contact him tell him you know me!

  • Hey, you play out of the side of your mouth, just like my favorite soprano player!!!!1 But, aren't spokes-models supposed to be attractive?

  • Hey who is this? lol. Thanks Dan i appreciate the supportive words lol. Dude I was sick that day but felt like playing a bit. But I am in the process of growing my hair out and letting it curl up. So I'll be famous soon!

  • Hey Mike, is this just the regular Ceramic Resonance Chamber Mouthpiece? Or one of the Custom lines? Any idea which has superior projection and articulation?

  • Yo, Mike. you gotta try my horn. :) We should switch for like 5 mins. :) I'm always up for seeing the difference between sixes, that the same one I played on years ago?

  • A great piece presented by a great player.

  • Absollutely Fantastic! Saxophonist Extroindinaire! Blow Baby Blow! This is what jazz is all about ...

  • Drake makes some awesome pieces! That's for sure! I have one for SATB (3 customs, and one early production). Getting another one soon!

  • That's a Selmer. And judging by the patina, either a Mark VI or a Reference series.
