Does someone know the name of the man who sings in the starting of this vid?

This cantata is virtually unknown in the US. A beautiful performance. The sheer size of the Marienkirche, Muehlhausen, and the building's echo, produce a sound I have never heard before from a cantata. It is wonderful music, and it prompts me to include Muehlhausen in a trip to Germany.

Thank you so much, most beautiful recording I've heard in years. All musicians wonderful, brass section gave me goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes, magnificent! Thanks God for Bach!!

This cantata was conducted by Bach himself in 1079 in Mülhausen, it was a succesfull performance.

Awesome!!! Just absolutely bloody awesome!! Listening to Bach, Telemann, Vivaldi and Handel makes it so hard for me to get back into the 21st Century's music. Food for the soul is the only way I can descibe this. Thankyou soooooo much for this vid!!

The audio was recorded from there too?
Why the camera is moving from side to side during almost all the “film”.
Or at leas the first part is moving (I think that kind of movement is called Pan isn`t it?) and It’s getting me dizzy :P

"Das neue Regiment" mag ich :)
Just letting you know that when I was helping with the production of this video performance the recorders at time index 1:08 had to wait twenty minutes for the echo of the previous movement to subside and fade away. 20 MINUTES!! That church caused to many echo problems for us and the crew!
