Amtrak California Zephyr Departing Truckee heading for Donner Pass

This video is part of my Donner Pass Series. I'm going to title this "Sunny Winter Day on Donner". It will include the Amtrak California Zephyr and Union Pacific with a lot of snow. I hope you enjoy the full series.

This was my second shot of Amtrak #5. Here you see it depart Truckee and head for the "Big Hills". I wasn't thinking I was going to shoot this but when I saw the train was blocking my crossing to leave, I decided what the heck. So I came down to this nice signal bridge and got it for you guys. Hope you enjoy!

@jakey200000 All the western long distance Amtrak trains look the same because they all use superliner cars. The only difference is that the Coast Starlight has a Pacific Parlour Car.

Dude you missed out big time. The day after you shot this video I road on 3 private rail cars behind the westbound Zephyr from Reno to Sacramento! If only you shot this train 24 hours later!
