@wcailum well yeah, it was out when I first posted that comment. A few problems arose though, since the actual wi-fi chat was limited to maybe 12 or 15 pre-made text responses, it becomes very hard to communicate with others online. Plus, since you'd have to be within talking distance (usually) to do a link game, there's no reason to do the actual in-game picto chat option.

This came out well, and I've been giddy about this game ever since I was there for the release in Japan. It is a basic reconstruction of the Phantasy Star Online 1&2 games, but with more story. While character creation isn't as much in depth, they still look great on the DS. Those chat symbols though are actually a GIANT exaggeration since someone would actually have to draw it out on the spot.
