@Setoreeh I think it´s you who haven´t read Koran and SUNNA. if you can´t see the most crucial theological diffrence concerning VIOLENCE between islamic and christian texts (not to mention buddhist), you don´t understand what you are reading. texts do make a diffrence. i´m not saying islam could not be interpreted in a decent way but it certainly is not an easy task. aslan is pretentious and inhonest. and I know history of islamic world quite well. and africa has nothing to do with this.

@vulvatronic OK that's your way of thinking, I won't even dare myself to change your point of view, but I would just like to advice you 4 things, 1st: Read the Koran, 2nd: Read about history, AFRICAN HISTORY, Arabic countries History, Origin of religions, etc..3rd: Go and live for few months with real muslim families and 4th: If some one already explained to you what they ment in a sentence they have said, why would you continue with your old statement? Try, just try to understand what I mean

@Setoreeh almost every statement about a group X is a generalization. you wrote: ignorant people generalize. now, do all ignorant people do that? do you know each & every? it was a generalization. but my point is not to be nitpicking. "islam is a religion of peace"; "islam is a violent religion". which generalizes more? compared to tibetean buddhists, people of much less suppressed muslim countries are extremely violent. not ALL, but the difference is real. & i´m afraid it´s due to islam.
