  • like at 2:31 is it possible to go to the front of the train and get a driver's view (or is it closed off... allowed for the driver only)

  • @timosha21

I don't remember if it is possible to get a driver's view (I doubt it...), the video was taken from the rear window of the train.

  • @USAblog you could always play it in reverse...then its a drivers view

  • I live in Ashburn and have been on the metro a zillion times, and I'm always impressed with it's acceleration.

  • @dragondancer1814 All newer trains come with walls between the cockpit and the cabin with doors to the cockpit on the side of the train. Its only older trains like the one in the video where you can see the driver. So its not necessarily 9-11 its just changing technology or design.

  • @USAblog I grew up riding the DC Metro trains, and we used to be able to sit in the front of the train and get a view not only out the front, but also of the driver at work. Unfortunately I doubt you can do that anymore since 9/11, which is a drag because my sister and I LOVED doing that!

That's one of the few things I miss about living in the DC-Metro suburbs-being able to just hop a train down to DC to see the sights.

  • there should be some shots taken above ground like green belt and springield and the oronge line above ground

  • @timosha21 Ive gotten a cab ride on the dc metro and yes! There is a full cab at the front it isnt like the NYCTA trains!

  • Been to Metro Center

  • @howardkevinm Yeah I was one of them, the first time I got on the train, I bout fell over, I was like, woah these things have some speed.
