catatonicmoron, OK people do favors etc to reach the top, so what ?,its happened for thousands of years.People are clueless what to do when their loved actors die, so they take it out on buses and by rioting. I dont see a point in your comment, how does this make his Lordship Dr.Raj a bad person, I think he is a deserving star, I am sure if you tried for the next 20 years you could be even 1 % as talented as Dr.Raj, So FO man.
First, all of you need to face facts. Indian film industry is dirty and filled with people who have risen to the top by performing sexual favors (both homo and hetero sexual). Rajkumar is no exception, neither is amitabh, or rajnikant or whoever. I have contacts in the industry and you will not believe the kind of stories they say about the biggest stars. Anyway, they have so much power because of people who use any excuse to pelt riot and steal give them support.
But guys one thing. The director duo of Dorai Bhagvan had directed James bond kind of movies in Kannada before Operation Diamond Rocket. They were "Jedara Bale(the Spider Web) " and "Goadalli CID 999" both of which were hugely popular(they still are) and huge grossers. The director duo then followed these two with "Operation Diamond Rocket" and it was best among the trilogy. It was all class and is the best Indian bond movie till date. Dharmendra has tried that , but he pales in comparison.

He was awarded Padma bhushan by govt of india sometime during early 70's and was conferred with the honorary doctorate by the Mysore University around the same period. He is the winner of several best actor awards(filmrfare and Karnataka Govt awards). He won national award for his singing in 1992 for a film called Jeevan Chaitra . It went on for more than a year in thater.
i was in bangalore when this guy died. we were advised to leave for home early. on the way our bus was stoned by the people. wtf did we do? did we kill him? why pelt stones at us?
