Orange White And Blue (Parody of Bob Dylan's Tangled up in Blue)

A Parody of Bob Dylan's Classic "Tangled up in Blue." This is about the hardships of being a Mets fan.

I only had limited space on my camera to record. So bare with me. I apologize for the video being dark, but it's about the music and lyrics anyway.

Lyrics:

I cheer for the team that resides in queens
They might be the most pathetic thing Ive ever seen
They never seem to do anything right
And its just painful to watch them every night
Its tough waking up as a Mets fan every day
It'd be nice to see them make a decent play, maybe a few

After losing to the cardinals a couple years ago
They've now lost out on the division two years in a row
They squandered big leads and lost out on first place
They even changed their manager to give the team a different face
But things didn't change they still lost out to the Phils
For the team from Philly, its been quite a thrill, makes me wanna puke
Rooting for the orange white an blue.

They rip the heart right out of me
Every game they lose, its very hard to see
Even when they take the lead on a two run shot
I think they are going to win, but they surely do not
Whether its a lack of clutch hitting, or a bad bullpen
It doesn't matter either way, they are just gonna lose again, what else is new?

The general manager. Minaya is his name.
He get a pass from the owners, but he should be partly to blame.
He brought in players that didn't pan out
They don't really know what hustling is all about.
They cant runs the bases well, and the don't catch the ball
If they don't get their act together they wont be playing late into the fall. They have no clue!

They wanted to start fresh this year in a brand new park,
But with all these injuries, the season could soon look dark
Its a beautiful new place; its name is Citi Field,
The prices are outrageous if you wanna buy a meal.
But the food is better than the team they put on display.
Its amazing the price that we have to pay to watch them lose
Rooting for the orange white and blue.

I hope this season ends well better than it did in the past.
At least we wont be finishing in last.
This team needs to make the playoffs and maybe do even more,
Or it will be time to break up the core
But Ill be there every night at the edge of my seat.
As the Mets try not to get beat I hope they win too

They've only won two titles the past 40 plus years
And I have to deal with Yankee fans screaming in my ears:
"We've won 26 titles what have you done"
With all this agony, being a Mets fan ain't much fun
But I cant just switch teams, I have loyalty
Everyone roots for the Mets in my family. What should I do?
