So with an 18sp its the same as a 13 but you are just splitting the lower gears too as well as the upper gears?

yeah this is a good video but why are you pulling in to neutral when going into overdrive, i just put it in overdrive, let off the accelerator and go.

@powerstroker0622 to me it is easier to shift that way, button shifting where you just use the button and throttle can be a little rough on the tranny sometimes. the way i shift is a lot gentler on the tranny

I've honestly never seen people split gears this way, I will have to try it. I was always taught just the regular way. Are you using the clutch as well as shifting back and forth into neutral when splitting? or is this pure clutchless shifting?

@crackparty you can use the clutch, or you could float shift, it don't matter. i usually float shift. i learned to shift like that 10 years ago on a super 10 which is the same splitter setup as a 13 speed and 18 speed

@triplets3d no its not, you are useing that shirfter way more than you need to, and i listended really close and almost everygear you hit grinded a little bit as it fell into place

Just think of an 18 speed as a 9 speed where each gear has a high and a low. So low 1st, high 1st, low 2nd, high 2nd, low 3rd, high 3rd etc......

me i float all my gears i only use the clutch to start and stop

@triplets3d they say you should never switch to overdrive or to your high gears ,while in neutral. I too drive an 18 speed.. I just let off the throttle and switch and throttle up. Or you can let off the throttle switch.and trap the clutch. throtttle up.
