Whether you like the show or not, it is hard accept that so many deserving people are denied the help they need. Those individuals who try address this are all too often ignored and their efforts go unrewarded.
Maybe a peak-time TV show isn't the best vehicle to address this, but it at least exposes the situation. Would you prefer that these deficiencies in our society remained hidden? A bit of justified embarassment for the authorities isn't a bad thing and does actually achieve results.
