Selkie Rescue is a bootable CD that will save your files even when Windows is broken. Bad software installations or device drivers, malware and spyware can all lead to a crashed PC that traps your valuable data. Selkie Rescue is a quick and easy way to recover your files, even when Windows won't work.

Selkie Rescue runs on any Pentium or equivalent CPU capable of running Windows 95 through Vista, as long as the PC being rescued is connected to another computer.

Selkie Rescue takes you through the simple process of creating your recovery CD. With only a few clicks, Selkie's bootable CD finds your files on the dead computer even when the operating system won't run.

To recover your data after a crash, just insert the Rescue CD and reboot, then copy your recovered files to a connected computer. Selkie can also be used to transfer files quickly and easily when you purchase a new PC or laptop.

  • digitaladvancer, Not just another video, this one stands out.

  • no software can help you if there is a physical damaged to your drive. Sometimes you have to replace the damaged head in order to start the drive - spinning:)

  • Hi Kenneth, a CD or DVD would not be able to capture 60GB of storage, however, Selkie Rescue works by allowing you to transfer the data off your broken computer over a simple network to a working computer. This way your limit to storage is only limited to the free hard-drive space on your rescue computer.
