This is a fossil of a peach pit I found 35 years ago down at the C & D canal (Chesapeake & Delaware)in Delaware. This area has a history of fossils dating back 70-80 million years ago. This waterway was dug out many years ago so that large barges and ships could make their way to the port of Wilmington thus uncovering many fossilized specimens like this one. • God created everything approx. 6000 years ago so this is Nonsense. To learn some real Science watch the videos on my channel.

  • Radiometric dating doesn't work - do some more "research".

  • Is Jeffamarie right or just BS? Did modern peache trees sxist 70 million years ago .Most trees date back much older .

  • You can also take the mineral and tap it on something to convey the sound of it being a heavy mineral .

  • thats cool!

You should try planting it and try to grow some fossilized peaches. ;)

  • it says under 13.

  • Okay... how can it be a 70 myo peach pit when the genus Prudus (of which peaches are a member) evolved 44 myo?
