AUBURN*Senior Tay Waller garnered three awards and was named the Most Valuable Player at the 21st annual Auburn Basketball Awards Banquet Tuesday at the Hotel at Auburn University.
Waller was also named the Outstanding Offensive Player and received an award for being the SEC*s 3-point field goals made leader with 3.4 per game and was ranked fourth nationally. He was second in the SEC shooting 41.0 percent from 3-point range, eighth shooting 47.4 percent from the field and was eighth in the league averaging 15.3 points. The Manchester, Ga., native became the first player since All-American Wesley Person in 1994 to score 20 points or more in five straight SEC games.
