this is very true :'( i haven't able get any job or calls or anything nearly 4 years already. I don't like depend on SSI it make me feel lazy. Its actually very depressing! :'(

Certainly quite a tough life for deaf people. We are capable of so much, maybe even more so than hearing people. We're definately more observant and obviously we're harder to distract from our work since... you know... what can we hear?! Also we're a lot more beautiful than hearing people, it seems God wants to make up for our disabilty with our looks ;).

Ignorance. Hearing people do work at CSD and at Gallaudet. Deaf people do work at Sony and IBM. Regardless of what you would or would not do, there is a law that protects from discrimination. The more people are educated in this area, such as yourself and the majority of people posting, the less tihs will be an issue.
