Roberto Alagna - "Je crois entendre encore" (Bizet)

from the opera "Les Pêcheurs de Perles". I post this video for this aria that I love. Personally, I find Alagna could have done a better job at this. He makes some breathing and words mistakes (I'm not talking about prononciation). Anyways, tell me and tell us youtubers what you think...

Des différentes interprétations que j'ai écoutées sur youtube, c'est celle de Javier Camarena que je préfère nettement : timbre clair, chant simple, évident, sans fioritures, ligne superbe, comme suspendue du début à la fin, qualités idéales pour cet air tout en émotion intériorisée.

M. Alagna abuse un peu des effets et expose ses "différentes voix", et c'et au final trop travaillé pour émouvoir vraiment.

Quel plaisir d'entendre un chanteur qui ne massacre pas la prononciation...la plupart des chanteurs d'opéra s'en affranchissent en pensant que, de toute façon, du moment que c'est joli, le reste a peu d'importance. Merci Roberto, on te comprend en italien comme en français.

I must say, in my opinion, this is one of the worst Je Crois Entendre Encore. It seems like Alangna doesn't have suitable voice or technique for this aria. and not sure if he really understand the character.

Since most comments were in French, i have to answer in English. I love Roberto Alangna and his version is really good, as he understands the soft and magical parts of the song, and he sings the last part in falsetto - RIGHT ON! Personally i like Alain Vanzo - try him!
