Miniature Harley Davidson engine

This is my Hoglet....a 1/4 scale, V-twin, internal combustion, four stroke engine that I made from scratch. It has a bore of 1" and stroke of 1-1/2"...so it has a displacement of 2.35 cubic inches! The ignition system uses a Hall effect sensor to trigger the discharge to the spark plugs. I machined this motor at BCIT for my optional project for the Technology Teacher Education Program (in another year I will be teaching metalwork in a high school in Surrey). I've watched several clips on Harley engine models and yours is the only one that sounds like a Harley...congratulations !

cool engine , I see it has vibration just like the real Harley . A good idea is to have the base made of 50 pound steel blocks to asorb the bad vibrations as they did with many old engine designs
