FSX Carrier Landing F/A-18 Hornet (Night) [HD]

This is a short demo of a realistic HUD for the Flight Simulator X Acceleration F/A-18 Hornet. Scott Printz created this fully functional and conformal F/A-18 HUD. I added the following new features:

- Precise ILS and TACAN navigation for aircraft carriers (including moving carriers) that will allow carrier landings in low visibility and at night.

- Caged mode with ghost vector for use in heavy side wind conditions.

- Elements repositioned to make the HUD look as close as possible to the real Hornet HUD.

Carrier ILS/TCN frequencies:

1. Default Acceleration carrier: 111.00 MHz or TACAN channel 47X
2. Javier's Nimitz carrier: 112.00 MHz or TACAN channel 57X

How are u able to stop that fast ? and what is the aircraft used ? it's great !

@jackop9111 Aircraft carriers have a special arresting gear to stop the landing aircraft - it consists of four wires spanned across the landing area. Carrier based aircraft have a special tail hook which must catch one of the four wires to stop the aircraft. If you miss the wires you cannot stop. That's why the moment you touch the deck you give full power and be ready to take-off.

@jackop9111 The aircraft is the Acceleration pack F/A-18 Hornet. I have put a special HUD, but everything else is the same. My PC is getting a little old now, but for FSX is stil great - CPU Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.80GHz, nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+, RAM 4 GB.

@92Mihajlo You want FSX and get the acceleration addon then search google for "fsx acceleration flight plans", its the first link you see. Then load one of the flight plans and choose the Hornet and take off from airport and look around, the carriers are always close to the airport.
