The scene is actually slowed down to around .75x. You can tell by how graceful they all fall. In real time, he probably killed them all within 5 seconds. Not unrealistic at all.

I know that Newman starred in Cars after this, but I want to believe that this was his epitaf, this was his swan song. This is a worthy ending to a worthy man. I truly believe that if he would have ever gotten a choice as to his end, this he would have liked. RIP, sir Newman.
