Overhauled LifeDrive

This is my LifeDrive Palm after some serious overhauling: The 4GB Hitachi Harddisk has been removed for a 16GB Transcend CF 300x card, thanks to Dmitry's PowerDrive (www.palmpowerups.com) . That allowed me to change the LD's memory from 64 to 256Mb, and the rest is used as storage for movies, music, videos, photos, etc etc. Also the speed increased a lot, that's why I had it installed the new WebOS-LIKE launcher TealOS, to give the LD a whole new life and look.

Worth to mention too is the PowerSDHC driver (thanks again Dmitry!), so I can access upt o 32GB SDHC memory cards.

I`ve been following some Powerdrive threads at 1src and found out that many irated Powerdrive users have reported similar cases of ireversible damage to their LDs after 300 resets. Their devices have gone completely dead. Has this problem been fixed in the latest Powerdrive software release? I was pretty much interested in getting Powerdrive and giving an extended life to my LD, but what now? Thanks

@alexbrazviana I've done reset to my LD way more than 300 times.. I'm not sure how much but yes.. lots of resets and it keeps working great. This is a great device I'm still ver attached to it and I think it will be like that for a long time. Thanks for your comments

Esta increible hermano, y estoy seguro que vale (in the sense of worth) mas que cualquier handheld mas nuevo, tengo uno en condiciones de agencia, esta nuevecita, me la regalaron en el 2005 para mi universidad, y soy tan excesivo en el cuidado de mis cosas que solo tiene un mini ligero golpe que le dio uno de mis hermanos, en cualquier momento me busco el how-to completo para aventarmela y disculpa por ser copion pero dejarla como la tuya, no tiene madre... felicitaciones caray..

@elknof1 Claro!! y nada de copion!!.. mas bien la idea es NO dejar que la industria nos "obsoletize" a su antojo, el LD es un excelente dispositivo con el horse power necesario para las aplicaciones de hoy dia.. y mas!... Cualquier consejo con todo el gusto del mundo.

@johnmonk66 Except, you know, do anything without covering the screen in fingerprints. Every day I wish my android had a nice, precise stylus. Clicking links with giant fingertips is a pain in the ass on a 3.7 inch screen.

Teclado: busca un programa llamado MINIKEYBOARD que brinda un buen teclado en pantalla que puedes usar con tus dedos.

Navegación: allí estamos limitados. Pero si investigas lo suficiente podrás instalar también otros navegadores (Netfront, Picsel browser y Opera MIni) y compararlos con el Blazer a ver cual te gusta más
