@johnybazukata I take no offense to this at all, but I think you missed the point. From a public relation standpoint, it is extremely beneficial for a group not to be viewed as a bunch of assholes. That's my main point.

Why is it that so many religious people think all atheists have an agenda to "recruit". It's not an organized group with an agenda, its the lack of belief in a deity. Fellow atheists can socialize and use social tools to fraternize with like minded people like everyone else.
Besides I think what you perceived to be rude and distasteful is what actually brings his audience in, his making fun of ignorance is entertaining. If you find it offensive then i'm sure you would find it doubly rank.
