Ever notice how the really great things happen to grace your life without any fanfare and hoopla yet when they arrive the greatness comes in, makes itself at home in your heart and say's 'Here's a gift.' I always thought of this movie as a gift. It never needed big advertising or money to sell a universal understanding of love, laughter, friendship and growth. Thank you for that gift...

This film is SO magical. I've watched it many times, own the DVD, and it's in my top five of favorite movies. Too bad the critics (at the time) didn't give it the reception it deserved.
