Monster Energy Pipeline Pro 2008 - Final Day

CONDITIONS: Still not exactly proper Pipeline -- A touch overhead, friendly trade winds and "fun" waves determined berths to December's Pipe Masters.

OUTSTANDING PERFORMERS: Pancho Sullivan surfed his way from the trials to the podium during an all Hawaiian final. 'Nuff said. "I was looking forward to getting as many heats as possible under my belt before the WCT starts. This is a great opportunity to prepare and train," said Sullivan.

He comboed the field in the final with a perfect, ten-point tube ride. Sullivan had things wrapped up with more than ten minutes left with a two-wave total of 18.75 - the highest of the entire event, apparently saving his best for last.
