@Fearlessmoviemaking You're so right! I bought a 6 1/2" sub brand new, i had it set up with the high levels because i have an old Onkyo Quartz Synthesized Tuner receiver, and the damn receiver gave it way too much power and blew it:/ I was very disappointed but im a very new beginner at the age of 16, but hey i guess you learn from your mistakes,right?

@Fearlessmoviemaking than you.

@sisalikmk you need an amplifier (new looking 100-400$ old 20-50$) and then you can buy a special cord (about 5-15$) and it will be a rca cable to an audio jack and you can plug it into your computer, mp3 or ipod/iphone/ipad

@ursmellyass320 if it the subwoofer does not plug in that is perfectly fine

your last conection is not soposed to be used like that on a powered sub power on power will fuck up both your amplifier and the sub becuase your amplifer is pushing power into your sub and your sub is pushing back and it dystroys your amplifer it happened to me so if you have it hooked up like that unhook it or they will both be fried
