Your bass tone is spot on to Geddy's! What are you playing through?
-
wow awesome bass tone, sounds just like geddy! My favourite rush song largely because of the bass line and solo. Well done sir.

Sounds awesome. I have played that bass before, and it is a monster. Sounds even better live. It is a little hard to play, but the sound is second to none.

@chrisslooter Lol, I remember you messing with that thing. It was big even on YOU, thanks for the kind words Chris!

What are the woods used on this bass?

The body is made of alder, and the neck is birdseye maple. The pickups are real Gibson Ceramic Thunderbird Pickups. I only used the rear (bridge) pickup for this, otherwise this bass sounds HUGE with both pickups on

Awesome Cover!! And Nice Custom Bass!! What pickups do you have on that baby? And I'm curious on how much it cost ya, because Warmoth can be expensive, and what type of wood is the body is made of?
Also, is the Geddy J and Fenderbird the only two basses you have in stock?

The pickups are stock Gibson Thunderbird ceramics. The bass probably cost about $2300 to build completely, which isn't that bad really. It was well worth it. This thing sounds HUGE. I only used the rear pickup in this video to get the geddy "wahl" sound, but when both p/u's are on, it sounds massive! I have the Geddy J, Fenderbird, and a P-bass. A Rickenbacker is next though!
