At Kalnu Park, the "Opening Ceremony" of the Song and Dance Festival, Thursday July 2. This piece is done to a traditional Christmas song. In the background are the hundreds of choirs and musicians; all music and singing is live. It was truly a wonderful program that cycled through the folk songs and dances of the years.

  • My mother's parents were born in Lithuania. My mom was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up speaking English and Lithuanian. I miss her very much (Sept. 1, 1914-June 14, 2006). She used to sing a Lithuanian lullaby to me when I was very young. ♫♥♫
