I just bought a 20 year old log cabin and I'm seeing saw dust falling from the ceiling and saw dust falling from the attic ceiling as well. Are these carpenter ants or termites I wonder? I live in the Northeast of upper NY state. Thanks

capenter ants like tuna try baiting the tuna carefully with fipronil. also they do most of there foreaging at night use red cellarfane over your torch as they can't see red light and try follow them to the nest or get the customer to ,and kill them with a large stick with nails in it ,or other effective spary treatments

Search the customers yard for any areas that may be covering the nest. If you cant find it, I use Termidor or Phantom around the exterior of the house in a wide band. Eves,wall,and 6-7 feet out away from the house. Never had a call back since 2005 regarding ants. Baits are for techs that are lazy and would rather talk than get the job done,and eliminate the problem.

Get a chair sit down and step on them, then there friends come to eat them and they multiply you can keep stepping in the same spot and you will get thousands.

See!! BORIC ACID.....IT WORKS FOR ANTS AND TERMITES. ANTS HATE POWEDER, and he just told me why!! They are constantly cleaning themselves.
