This is an updated video of the one I did quite awhile ago on my 1963 Lafayette Radio catalog.
This video is better quality and I spend more time looking through the good old stuff they sold back than.
Please have a look at a radio catalog that was a REAL radio catalog, back than Lafayette Radio sold just about everything.
I hope you enjoy the Lafayette Radio catalog re-visited.

Hey do you have any lafayette catalogs from he late 1970's I am looking for the 12" Trixial woofer that had yellow foam surrounds and the wizzer cone along with the tweeter in the middle. it looks similiar to the sk-312 however the sk 312 had the cloth surrounds with different baskets. can you please help. Great video by the way! My father had all the Lafayette catalogs but were thrown out when he passed away

  • @vnicotra I do not think so, I think I got rid of them all except the 1963, that one I kept.

I will check when I get a chance, but I doubt it.

  • Hi Bill Thank you for taking the time to show your catalog. I love looking through that old stuff. There sure was alot of quality and quantity of choices back then. Just like the stores that used to be in our area. We had Murphy's 5and dime/ Ames/ Jamesway /Fishers Big Wheel / Western Auto / Montgomery Wards/ Hills dept store/and everyone was closed on sundays ! now it's just walmart kmart & target. the old days were better . take care ///Ken

  • @kenjet86 Hi Ken, Yes there were some great stores back than, we had Barkers, Bradlies, The Fair, Artistic Wire Factory Discount, Frances Electronics and many other local stores.

We even had a REAL Radio Shack where they had sold tubes and had a bargain table of you-fix-em yourself.

    Those were the best days.

    Bill

  • When CB was fun I had a Lafayette HA-150 portable with interchangeable crystals, very civilized! But you needed a license. KKD7414

  • Great video, Bill. I remember spending my paper route and lawn mowing money at Lafayette, Allied and Radio Shack in West Hartford. My first CB radio was a Realistic TRC-5. I couldn't afford the Lafayette HE-20c although my neighbor had one...I was so envious. I still have my Realistic Little Six transistor radio. I think it still works.

  • I loved going thru these as a kid... Thanks!!

  • that was great !
