WOW..that kid is great!!!!!

In terms of electronic styles, scratching is not always great. Certain types of music are more friendly to it. Trance is shite, House is okay, Techno is better again and while Turntablism is, as the name suggests, the very art of scratching and cutting on decks, the music played is not as mixable as other electronic styles, by its very nature it's not as fluent in the mix.
Personally I think Techno is the perfect in the middle genre. Nice to mix, challenging and friendly towards scratching.

much respect for his dad or who ever told him to do this on this age this kid is awesome

was a response to JP GUNNz ; Have you ever heard a really good scratch sequence in a House music set. It's sounds great if the dj can actually do it. Check out Bad Boy Bill's scratching during his House sets. Djs who have a problem with House scratching are those who actually can't scratch.

So True! My favourite is Terrance Parker , he ROCKS the House , cutting and scratching thru it

and he'll probably b another Craze.

Once again, Frankie 'Hollywood' was funny as hell as always. Looking forward to the next MixFest. My son and I both had a wonderful time... We felt a lot of love... It was great.
Peace

house music djing is about the songs that the dj plays and when he/she drops certaining songs for the best responce from the crowd, not scratching as a house crowd want to hear the music not some egotist scratching and probably spoiling a good song.scratching has its place in hip hop!!
Farley "Jackmaster" Funk did a party this year during Martin Luther King weekend. Tony Mundaca was the opening DJ. Tony played a remix done by Leonard "Remix" Rroy of "Love & Happiness" (that Farley never herd before). Knowing when he hear Leonards style - Farley says to Tony "That's Leonards Remix isnt it" Tony replies "Yes It Is".
That is how unique we were back in the day...what happened to that in the 2K House Music Era as of DJ's?

You are entitled to your opinion but some crowds that love House music really aren't into scratching. Farley is not going to hear every song thats been released. Give the man a break. DJs respect other DJs for having their own style. Hell, we have to go out and enjoy listening to someone also.

I herd somebody Yell "I'm A HOUSE DJ" they a weak dj if they have no turntable skills!!!! Leonard "Remix" Rroy made his bones back in the day with Mad Turntable Skills. Lil dude is on point!!!!! and shame on grown ass (Think they DJ's) who have no turn table skills.

I have to disagree with you. I posted this video and was at this fest. DJs have various styles. When a DJ main focus is House music his crowd is not turned on my scratches and tricks. House head want to hear the music blended. So there is no real need to enhance scratching skillz. DJ L'Monte
