Tippmann C3 Propane Paintball Gun.
This paintball gun is classified as a dangerous weapon. Tippmann Sports, nor the producer of this video assumes any liability resulting from unsafe handling or operation of a Tippmann C3 Propane-powered paintball marker. You must observe the same safety precautions as you would with any firearm to assure the safety of not only yourself but everyone around you. The sport of paintball can only survive and grow if it remains safe.
The Tippmann C3 propane paintball gun is a .68 caliber pump-action paintball gun. It is sold with a standard 13 inch barrel and the overall length with the barrel installed, but no propane tank, is 17.6 inches. Without the propane tank it weighs in at 3.75 lbs.
With over 50,000 shots per 16 ounce propane tank and the accessibility of propane cylinders at many common retail locations, paintball players can spend more time playing paintball and less time trying to fill or find a place to fill their CO2, Nitrogen or compressed air tanks. Perfect for playing paintball in remote locations where filling stations are not available.
You can buy disposable 16 ounce propane tanks in any hardware store for under $8. A 20 ounce CO2 tank can cost you $40. Plus you have to fill your CO2 tank after 1,000 shots. To fill your CO2 tank for 50,000 shots would cost you over $250.
The only thing I don't like about the Tippmann C3 propane paintball gun is this exposed and flimsy gas line on the right side of the gun. It is only a matter of time before it catches on a branch and is damaged. They should have incorporated an internal gas line.
Propane is a low pressure gas and only a very small amount is used in the C3's internal combustion chamber. The propane is never released into the air and is very safe. Propane is used safely in dozens of consumer products like nail guns, power tools, household appliances, outdoor lighting, and camping equipment. Propane is safe.
Propane produces the same muzzle velocity of CO2, Nitrogen or Compressed Air but it is not affected by temperature changes and it maintains a consistent velocity for every shot.
The C3's velocity can be easily adjusted from approximately 240 feet per second to 310 feet per second at the back of the propane-powered paintball gun using a common flat-head screwdriver.
Overall the Tippmann C3 Propane paintball gun is a finely crafted marker and I look forward to firing 50,000 shots per 16 ounce propane tank that I can purchase at any local hardware or camping store. At one shot per kill, that's 50,000 eliminations.
