Sorry for my ignorance but does anyone know what America has to gain by having power in Kosovo? Is Kosovo rich in oil or can they profit from it in someother way? I am sceptical that America and the west are acting purley for humanitarian reasons and it seems strange that America would have so much concern for Muslims.. How is America and the West benefiting from Kosovo independance?

How about building the (second) largest base outside United States and controlling entire eastern europe, all the way to Russia-s border? The Trans-Balkan oil pipeline. By creating a satellite state and controlling Macedonia (NATO satellite), Montenegro (EU/US puppet) Bosnia-Herzegovina (NATO protectorate) and Croatia (under NATO umbrella) the Balkans are cut in half, and Kosovo and Metohia have more coal (not to mention other things) for next 300 years.
