Documenting for the neuro. If you see your baby doing this, don't play it off as nothing!

  • Hi, have you found out anything more since your last response 4 months ago? My son has recently started doing something similar and I am wondering about it. I call it a "shiver" - his shoulders go up a little and his eyes get big and his head wobbles a bit. Does that make sense? It seems similar to the videos of your daughter. Thanks!

  • I have other videos of my daughter's jerks. She is not having any seizure activity at all, its just random jerks when she is overtired or stressed. The neuro called it a movement disorder. We have not seen her do it in over a month.

  • what is diagnosis

  • She doesn't have a diagnosis, but the neuro told us she has some type of movement disorder. There has been no developmental delay or social problems because of it so we're just watching her.

  • It might be Autism.

  • I'd like to know where you get this possible diagnosis from??

  • Hi, I have a question... What is the thing you want us to focus on? I don't see anything abnormal... Could you tell me please?

  • Hi, I have a question and maybe you can help. My 3 month old has reflux and recetnly has been clamping down on my finger and leaning forward. he also wakes often, napping no longer than 30-45 mins and flails his arms often. We have also noticed that when we change his diaper and he is awake, he startles as though he is just waking up and freaks out. Should we mention this to our dr?

  • It's kind of hard to see what she's doing. I noticed my son doing something like that recently when anything touches his mouth (fingers, my shoulder, toys...) he tenses up, pulls the thing up to his mouth and kind of shurgs/shakes. Is that what your daughter doing?

  • It looks like reflux. Check into Sandifer's Syndrome.
