Useless Schindler Elevator [Queens Center]

A Schindler lift that moves a distance of 2 feet, or 8 steps. I can't fathom why Macerich put it in when renovating this mall. If C was unlocked for this elevator, it would have some purpose, but C is always locked so all it can do is move 2 feet. It's also scenic, but the glass was covered over.

I saw something similar, also 3 floors, except by Stanley/Dover. All 3 floors are unlocked but the distance between A and B (1 and 2) are = 5or 6 steps. But the distance between B and C (2 and 3) isn't another useless 5 or 6 steps but rather a normal distance.

If it goes to the basement, there's a use for the elevator. Leominster City Hall is the same way. There's a stop between two floors, albeit a little more justifyable. If you want to see it, Search: "leominster city hall".
