@mdreiguy Assalamu 'alaikum. Because he is a servant of Allah. And he will do whatever his Lord tells him to do. Niqab is made fardh upon women only by Allah. The shaykh is just delivering the message of Al-Qur'an. He did not make this law. This is the law of Allah.
