Careful, there are about a dozen variations of "Thalassemia" -- alpha, beta, delta and variants thereof. Don't assume that someone on the internet talking about Thalassemia has the same as you or your loved one

@Graymoths You would be having Thalassemia Minor trait and thats probably because one of your parents is also having Thala Minor, and hence it is passed on to your Genes.
T. Minor is not life threatening... It because a matter of concern when you have your life partner also with T. Minor trait and if you have kids together... there are 25% chances your kid will be a T. Major and thats life threatening. (Most likely child will be T. Minor, but 25% that it will have T. Major traits)

I feel so confused. I am 19 years old and I've just been diagnosed with thalassemia trait, but what does it all meant? The doctor just told me that everything was fine? Will it cause life-threatening complications in the future for me?

So it is advisable to know whether your partner is also T. Minor or not. If yes, you can still go ahead with family planning but get the pregnancy checked in initial stage to find will the child be suffering from T. Major or not.
So, you are safe but just make sure you get your partner checked for Thalassemia to avoid any complications with family planning.
Hope this helps, feel free for any concerns. Thanks

@thatsjigar Thank you so much for that valueble piece of info. :D I am glad there's no complications for me, and I really don't intend to start my own family and have kids, lol. Not at this point, anyways.
My dad is diagnosed with it too, while my mom is not. I have two other sibilings, do you think they will carry the trait aswell? Because they are planning to start their own families, and my concern is that they are not aware of this. Thanks again!

@Graymoths : I would suggest even your siblings and their spouses should get diagnosed for Thala. Its never late. But it better to know for the couple.
