You're a great public speaker.

It IS criminal behaviour in 22 civilised countries around the world. It IS actually a crime to attack your child with a belt, a brush, a stick, a switch, a branch, whatever. In these countries (and I am proud to live in one, the UK), you would lose your children for this act. And rightly so.
People who say beating children with implements is OK make me sick to my stomach. Humanity has moved on from being animals - at least, some of humanity. It was foul, depraved parenting.

@mmartini50 I don't condone the behavior of this father. Do you condone stealing from internet? it was a retaliatory move on part of this immature young lady. It was not a criminal behavior, perhaps not the best parenting, but not criminal. No serious bodily injury was evident, then nor presently. They are a screwed up family, I can say that. But then again, who's family isn't? Ciao!

@caguama1 You need to look up the meaning of the word "condone".
You say 'it was not that bad' (condone)
You say 'it was an act of anger' (condone)
You say 'not struck above the waist' (condone)
You say 'girl's wearing sweats' (condone)
You say 'it works' (condone)
Every sentence you wrote condones his criminal behaviour!
When your parents did it to you, it was criminal behaviour.
In my country you would be hauled in front of a proper judge for this.
*facepalm*

@cinderelmo ...believe me, I don't condone that behavior. As for insensitive, I believe it was an act of anger that was caught on tape. the girl knew she was being taped. The whoopin' was not that bad, watch it again. Never did they strike (19 times) the girl above the waist and she had on loose sweats. I got whooped much better with a peachtree branch that stings like a "mother". but I never disobeyed my folks again. the saying "spare the rod, spoil the child" always holds true!

@caguama1 I cant believe you condone that behavior its barbaric and wrong and I don't mean to be rude but that is not how to treat a human being, beat them with a belt let and a 6ft something male which males are more broadly proportioned to females in general and beating a 5ft2 girl up that is not right when a stronger physical person hurts a small thing, its like a lion vs a bunny rabbit, on top of all that she has cerebral palsy. How can you be so insensitive and condone that.

the most disturbing video is how a little chinese kid gets run over by 2 trucks and no body cares. This video you saw was just an a bit too hard traditional punishment, that worked for hmm, lets say everytime to teach his children from mistakes and to gain respekt. And no i would never punish my future children this way.

Ms Angela Rose
for the first 2:40 min, the judge didn't spank/strike her above the buttocks. She had loose sweatpants which took the impact of the strikes. Secondly, the girl was defiant to his "order" of getting on the bed on her stomach. She was not responding to his dictate as a "father". She knew she was on video and did not want to be shamed in front of the video. The discipline and anger this man experienced during this outburst was not as abusive as it appears. He was angry at his child

@synsei1 There's no need to use offensive language. Yes, I did watch it and I've watched several responses to it. This girl was stealing music when her father is a judge, she had been told not to do it. I don't approve of what the father did, but it was the offensive and threatening language that I take issue with, not the physical punishment. This girl is horrible. She deliberately filmed this and blackmailed her father with it.
