Who's to blame? Pedestrians who have started to cross the road, but don't look around or the driver.

  • drivers fault. he crossed the center line. i was in a similar car crash. i was turning left and the car behind me tried to pass. he crosed the line and hit the front left of my car and got his license suspended 3 months. the police officer who investigated told me never to cross the center of the road even if that means you hit pedestrians in the front of your car. if you cross the line and still hit them or anything else you are guilty even if they are crossing the street in an unmarked place.

  • drivers fault. 100% in law

  • @marcot401

In a lot of countries you can cross the road anywhere, but cars still have right of way

  • That other driver crossed the center line almost killing them people in the street. And them people should be more aware there not in a cross walk.

  • well to me it looks like the driver is doing a illegal pass in the wrong lane, but it would of been the pedestrians fault if they got hit...

  • Pedestrians because that is not a marked crosswalk, but driver on the left lane should have slowed down when he sees that the ring lane traffic has stopped!! If that was a marked crosswalk the left lane is obligated to stop along side the right lane car. If there is only one lane and the car passed the stopped car without even slowing down too see whats going and if there is a problem in front, the passing car is to blame!!

  • if it aint a crosswalk and everyone's doing speed limit its theirs for being idiots...what we paint crosswalks for and build over passes ...so yall cross em

  • More importantly, if you're the driver of that car and you have to choose between hitting a ped and hitting oncoming traffic head on...

  • Not sure where this is but doesn't the yellow solid line signify that the other line is oncoming traffic. In that case, the driver would be at fault for trying to cut around the car slowing down by going into a lane with oncoming traffic. You can even see that he almost hits the oncoming car. In situations like this, the car who has stopped should be aware of anything coming from behind and honk/get the pedestrians attention if a car is cutting around them like that.

  • Pedestrian! You might have stopped to let them go, but that doesnt me all other cars have to do the same. They should have looked for a Xing.
