the 2nd amendment like the 1st amendment is a COUNTRY WIDE right. no one can deny them. if the feds deny it then it's up to the states to nullify any anti-gun legislation and vis versa.

2. This is why people who carry are encouraged to practice with their firearms at gun ranges as often as possible, plus consider that most cases where a gun is used seem to involve close quarters(mugging, home invasion, store robbery).

3. Again, most people are rational and know that a gun is an absolute last resort.

@Krogoth04 You have very good reasoning and seem very sensible, but I do not agree with gun laws. while you may feel protected there are a number of things that can go wrong:

1. Not every american is a rational thinker; people will use guns when they are angry.

2. If you shoot and miss that leads to the possibility of a stray bullet.

3.If both people have guns someone, or both people will try to shoot each other to rid of the threat.

The risks out weigh the gains for me.
