This song is so awesome it hurts. Man, I really hope you won, 'cause you deserved it totally. Facts are interesting and funny, the voice is clear and sounds great to the ears, the music is well played and the video is really great ;w; I don't speak english good so I can't even tell you how awesome this is.

Haha, well defenestration is a pretty great word in fairness, and it IS a great song (with violin) so that may be a bit harsh but would be fantastically ironic. It would probably make the headlines so much so that there would then be the Dublin defenestrations of the 21st century...
sooo, I love the video lots! I think it's great, I keep telling people about it :)
but...I happened to google defenestration, not cos I didn't believe it, but just cos I was interested to see why they were doing it in Prague...in 1618...which would make it 17th century? :/

@neuselena123 Rest assured, the history student responsible for this particular mis-calculation will be flogged to within an inch of his life. Or alternatively he may just be mocked a little bit, I'm not entirely sure just yet. (I'm also considering defenestration as a fittingly ironic punishment, but given that he gave me an entire day of his time (not to mention unparalleled violin skills) to help with the recording that may be a wee bit harsh).

can you tell me the guitar tabs?
rotateleft 1 year ago
@rotateleft No problem - capo on the 3rd fret, then relative to the capo the verse is Am, C, G, D, the little mini-chorus/bridge is Am, C, G, G, and the chorus is F, C, G, Am, F, C, G, G.
The intro riff is based on the verse chords but with the D and G formed by sliding an open C up by 2 and 7 frets instead of the normal open shapes, then picking 5-3-1-2-3 on the C and Am and 5-3-2-3-2 on the G and D, with the last "2" on G and D played with the string open. Have fun with it!

So I won the bet in the end - and not only that but most people who saw the video claim to have enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
