  • Zurich (WC insurer) denied a claim on 3 points, all found one year later to be erroneous. Hence, I couldn't retain any WC atty for a severe spinal injury, leaving me victim to a QME. The QME (a private practice ortho, who concurrently works for insurers as an "expert medical witness") who fully misdiagnosed my spinal injury. Four months after my pro per WC loss, I received an emergency spinal fusion for my 1.5 year collapsing legs. Life destroyed, but why no conflict of interest law? Corruption!
