I've read over 700 Personal and Spiritual development, Psychology, and Success books, attended hundreds of seminars with top Gurus, Ancient Wisdom, and Success teachers from all over the world, and participated in VERY Strange activities, such as:

Getting Rolfed by a man with large hands, meeting a guy named Cinnamon, being pursued as a client by a Suicidal Life Coach, and getting (the now famous) "Spiritual Haircut."

Summary:

Recounting the life he led before and after his induction into the Self Help Hall Of Fame, Hoffman opens with his long list of Seinfeld-esque antics including the now famous "Spiritual Haircut".

While the light tone of the book sometimes undermines his life long search to fit in and find meaning, Hoffman clearly takes it seriously.

He simply tells us the story with a rare honesty, humility, and humor.

The strength of the memoir lies in the intimate and often humorous moments where he shares his pain, wisdom, and comedy of the journey into finding one's true authentic voice and place in the world.
